Cherokee, IA 5.24.2024– AgState, a leading Energy provider in Northwest Iowa, is excited to announce the groundbreaking of its newest Cardtrol location in Marcus, IA. The groundbreaking ceremony took place Friday, May 17th, with construction set to begin as soon as weather conditions allow. The project is slated for completion by August 31st, just in time for the harvest season.

Our investment here reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of our customers and supporting the local economy.” 

The new Cardtrol site represents a significant milestone in AgState’s ongoing efforts to provide greater convenience and top-tier services to its valued customers. The new Marcus Cardtrol location will feature: 

• 24/7 Access: Unmatched convenience with fuel availability at any hour of the day. 

• Updated High-Speed Pumps: Enhanced efficiency allowing for quicker fueling times, reducing wait times, and increasing customer satisfaction. 

• Advanced Blender Pumps: Offering a variety of fuel products through advanced blender pumps, providing customers with multiple options to choose from, including flex fuels and E85. 

• Ease of Access: Strategically located, with plenty of driveway space for easy, safe access for farmers, large commercial vehicles, and local patrons, enhancing overall convenience. 

• Flexible Payment Options: Acceptance of all major credit cards as well as AgState’s in-house credit cards, offering flexible payment solutions for all customers. 

In line with its commitment to supporting the local economy, AgState will be utilizing local contractors from the area where possible for the construction of this new site. Dockendorf Equipment will oversee the project, with Schmillen Construction, Midstates Contracting, Mike Olson Construction, Hawk I Electric, BEI, and Marcus Lumber being utilized for their areas of expertise. Additionally, the downtown location will be decommissioned once the new site is operational, with all local and state regulations being met to ensure environmental security.
